Travis was and always will be my son....Travis was so positive from the time we was born. He was a competitive swimmer for 15 years and earned a scholarship in swimming to college. He was so proud of all his personal achievements. He never told me "no"....no matter what I asked of him. He was my rock. Travis watched his father be an active alcoholic/addict. I had plenty of talks with Travis and his three older brothers about what their father was going through. None of my kids ever drank at all but Travis did experiment with weed an fell back with schoolmates into opioid addiction. Travis went thru rehab and was 2 years sober. He was a sponsor to a friend he grew up with and he opened AA meetings 2 times a week. He was in a Suboxone program but was going through a divorce and lost his insurance. He needed the Suboxone and ended up buying it from a drug dealer. It ended up being laced with Fentanyl. Travis had 2 boys that know their Daddy loved them more than anything. He has 3 brothers and a baby sister, along with his Mom and Dad that love and miss him. We are proud he had beaten his addiction. HE DIED TRYING TO STAY SOBER
